Rolling Around

When we put her on her back these days, she flips over and prefers her tummy. I'm posting with Phoebe on my lap so I'll cut it short. ~Andy

Easter

We managed to get Phoebe into this cute dress on Easter, but I think she's already outgrown it. Alisa's been getting out for walks every day with Phoebe in the stroller, which she enjoys very much!

Laugh In?

Our little girl is getting more and more animated every day. She now lets out full laughs, yells, and hearty giggles from her gut when we nuzzle her neck and belly. Speaking of bellys . . . she clearly has her dad's beer belly beat these days as she is showing off in the tub!

SPRING BREAK . . . Minot, ND

We contemplated taking Phoebe to Fort Lauderdale for Spring Break to teach her about the finer qualities of being American . . . but instead we opted to visit the part of the country that has more snow on the ground than anywhere else (seriously, this was a meteorologist's comment; not just my observation).

Phoebe had a great time with grandma and grandpa, and so did we. Hopefully the 5 of us will be together again before we move to Washington D.C. in June!

No Bottle, Dad!

Well, she rejected me officially. Our daughter has officially expressed her first opinion. Last week Alisa went to book group and I was home alone with a little lady who wasn't about to eat from a bottle. We're trying to find ways to get her to do so, but she may simply win this one.

On a positive note, she's chatty, cute as all get out (as you can see!), and sleeping through the night! I won't go in to details on that one, but you can ask us about it some time . . . if you even care.

It was wonderful to have Alisa and Phoebe return from Maine last week. My fears that Phoebe wouldn't remember me were put to rest, although she did inform us this week that she will not be feeding from a bottle any more. But she's full of smiles, laughs, and is quite chatty these days! She's already taking after her dad.

Greetings from Maine

Phoebe and I arrived in Maine on Friday. So far, she has enjoyed my birthday candles, and a walk to the park to watch her cousin Abrahm learn to ice skate. She was a great traveler, but we're happy to have two more full days at Oma and Grandpa's house before we fly again. We'll both be happy to see Daddy on Friday.

Finally, some fresh air!

For the first time, we loaded Phoebe up and went for a walk. Alisa is practicing carrying her as she will need to in the airport next Friday when the two of them travel to Maine for a week. She loved the bright sun and the motion seemed to calm her as we enjoyed our January (31st) thaw--the only day above freezing this month!

8 Weeks--our camera is back.

The digital camera simply needed some new batteries. I made the leap to rechargables . . . how did I miss that investment before? Anyway, her eyes are big and blue! She's sleeping well at night, for the most part and we're slowly developing some routines around here.
